The client wanted to have perfect control of energy & resources for a villa with contemporary architecture, much earlier than required by current regulations.
In addition to an increase in OSR granted on account of the client’s voluntary move, the level of performance achieved is maximum – just adding photovoltaic solar panels will qualify the project as “Positive Energy Building”.
The thermal comfort is so perfect and natural that the technical equipment rarely needs to be used. The equipment includes sealed pellet stove, solar hot water with vacuum type solar panels, forced double flow ventilation, and 100% LED lighting. The concept of “smart home” has been implemented : domotics automatically manage the summer ambient by controlling shade screens with motorised blades fitted to the outside framing, as well as the adjustable blades of a bioclimatic pergola for solar gains in winter time.
The interior features are an all-places reminiscence of the contemporary “chalk line” look that has been requested – Corian, oak, very large ceramic and fine kerlite ceramics have been implemented within a tolerance of one millimetre.
